Fitment Verification Guide

Use this guide before ordering an automotive mirror, mirror glass, signal light, grille light, exterior lamp, or related replacement component. Parts that look similar can differ in mounting, wiring, options, and compatibility.

1. Confirm the Vehicle

  • Model year
  • Make and model
  • Trim level
  • Body style
  • Chassis, generation, or platform code where applicable

Registration year and production year can differ. Use the vehicle’s actual model-year and configuration information.

2. Confirm the Side and Package

  • Left usually means driver side for left-hand-drive U.S. vehicles.
  • Right usually means passenger side for left-hand-drive U.S. vehicles.
  • Check whether the listing is for one side, a pair, or a multi-piece set.

3. Match the OE/OEM Number

Compare the number on the original part with the OE references in the listing. A partial match or visually similar number is not enough. Some superseded numbers can interchange, but this should be confirmed.

4. Compare the Connector

Check plug shape, pin count, wire position, polarity, and any adapters. A two-pin standard version and a three-pin higher-trim version may use a similar housing while functioning differently.

5. Confirm Installed Features

Depending on the product, verify:

  • Heating
  • Blind-spot monitoring or warning icon
  • Auto-dimming
  • Memory
  • Power folding
  • Camera
  • Puddle or position lighting
  • Turn signal function
  • Manual or powered adjustment

6. Compare Physical Details

Review mounting tabs, screw points, curvature, lens color, housing shape, connector position, and the back of the original part. Do not compare only the front appearance.

7. Check the Product Listing

Read the title, fitment table, description, notes, exclusions, side designation, package quantity, and fulfillment information. Product images may show multiple angles or both sides for reference.

What to Send Us

When requesting help, send the vehicle year, make, model, trim, side, OE number, connector photo, original-part photos, and a product link. A VIN may be requested when useful, but final confirmation still depends on the installed equipment and part details.

Important Fitment Notice

Compatibility tools are references, not guarantees. Vehicle options can change during a production year, and previous repairs may have installed a different component. Do not install, modify, paint, or discard packaging until you have verified the product against the original part.
