Use these installation guidelines together with the product listing, vehicle service information, and any product-specific video or instructions. Automotive mirror and lighting products vary by vehicle, trim, connector, and installed options.
Before Installation
- Confirm the product, side, package quantity, OE reference, connector, and vehicle configuration.
- Compare the new part with the original before removing protective films or making modifications.
- Inspect mounting tabs, clips, screws, plugs, seals, and wiring.
- Test electrical functions before final assembly whenever practical.
- Protect painted surfaces, mirror glass, trim, and interior panels.
- Use suitable tools and follow vehicle-specific service procedures.
Electrical and Lighting Products
Switch off the vehicle and secure the electrical system as required by the vehicle manufacturer. Do not force connectors. Check plug orientation, pin count, polarity, adapters, and wire routing. If a light does not function during the initial test, stop and verify the connection before final installation.
Mirror Glass and Mirror Components
Mirror glass can be fragile. Apply even pressure only at the correct attachment points and avoid pressing hard on unsupported areas. Reconnect heating or blind-spot terminals carefully. Confirm that wires are not pinched and that the glass moves freely after installation.
Complete Mirror Assemblies
Support the mirror during removal and installation. Compare connector count and functions before mounting. After installation, test adjustment, folding, heating, lighting, memory, camera, and blind-spot functions that apply to the vehicle.
Grille and Exterior Parts
Test-fit the part before painting, drilling, trimming, or applying permanent adhesive. Confirm sensor, radar, camera, grille, and mounting compatibility. Modifications can affect return eligibility.
After Installation
- Confirm all fasteners and clips are secure.
- Check panel gaps, movement, sealing, and wire clearance.
- Test every applicable function.
- Keep the original part and packaging until installation is confirmed.
- Recheck the installation after a short period of use where appropriate.
Professional Installation
Professional installation is recommended when removal requires door-panel work, wiring diagnosis, calibration, sensor handling, body modification, or specialized tools. OptiFlow Auto is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, forced connectors, wiring changes, or use on an incompatible vehicle.
